Hi there Waris,
We've got quite a few of the ME3600's deployed now, which we migrated to over
and above a legacy 3750ME estate. The big point for us was to migrate to MPLS
access rather than have any spanning tree knocking about in the Core.
Favoured points from my team involves the ease of
All,
I can happily report that I watched the hour long version last night and it was
great. I kept having laugh out loud moments whilst hoping that the hero would
succeed.
If you watch it, keep an eye out for Arpy Hour in the NBar!
Great work and fantastic production!

Evening all,
We went to upgrade our estate to 15.3(2) last weekend, but after the first
upgrade, we hit the same issue with being up able to ping directly connected
CPE . Unable to get the management back up on the CPE, we rolled the change
back out, reverting to 15.1(2)EY1a and all of our
protocols in the network, all Ethernet and IP based running MPLS.
Thanks to all who helped out and I hope this post helps other out.

We're running the latest on the ME3600 as it's only just gone in. It's running

Hello folks,
We're going through setting up multicasting in our network between some core
ASR9K's and some edge ME3600's. The underlying multicasting is implemented and
working well, but we're having some trouble in getting the vrf's working
correctly for multicasting. Would someone be able
We wrote our own with a bit of perl and later web enabled it.

Hello Group,
Regarding the issue we had with MTU sizes, we implemented a change last night
which looks to have cleared the problem.
Layout is like this:
Server --- L3 switch --- ME3600X --mpls-- 3750ME --L2-- Fortigate --- Internet
MTU sizes were as follows:
Server --- L3 switch - 1500
L3
This discussion brings me neatly onto my follow on question then:-
On the ME3600X switches they will allow me to set interface mtu of up to 9800
bytes. Some of my team are arguing that we only need 1548, some are saying
1600.
We've got dark fibre, so should we be going for the maximum mtu
All,
I have inherited a network which I feel is having MTU issues, but I cannot be
sure and would like a second opinion.
There is a legacy layer 2 network which has had an mpls network built over it.
A link between two of the data centres is a dark fibre between two Cisco 3750E
switches
Hello Folks,
We're looking to start aggregating more and more 10G links at both Layer
2 and Layer 3 and we're at the point where we need more kit.
Main feature we use is MPLS and we need 10G port density, so I'm looking
towards an ASR 9000, but then as we need Layer 2 services, I'm swayed
Hi Trevor,
Check out these co-lo racks:-
http://data-centres.comms-express.com/colocation-server-cabinets.php
They've got several compartments in the same racks which means that you
can interconnect, but not touch the kit.

Hi there,
Check out MIB Depot: http://www.mibdepot.com/
Or you can use some SMNP tools to walk (browse) what's available an
various kit. I prefer net-snmp (http://www.net-snmp.org), but GetIF is
pretty good for Windows (http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/getif.htm)
