Hi William,
It looks like the 'interface ethernet1 auto' command has solved the problem
Many thanks for the effort

Hi folks,
I just reset a Pix 515E to factory default using the command "wr erase".
I am now trying to reconfigure it again and it looks like everything is
working fine except the interfaces I cannot seem to bring them up
When I type the command interface Ethernet 1 form the config prompt its

You can try to shape the traffic to 50Mb rather than policing or you can
reclassify the exceeding traffic instead of dropping it then shape it.

As long as your only receiving default routes then BGP will not take up too
much resources I am sure this should be manageable
Unlike the full internet feed which is over 200K of routes

If you intend on being a transit network I would recommend running BGP on
all your routers and an IGP to carry your loopback IPs, this is a more
scalable solution

Hi,
What type of Media converters are you using? What speed are they running at?
Have you tried to use different media converters?
I have ran into something similar to this it started all of a sudden I used

Hi
It would take the physical IP but also remember it would take the primary IP
address on the interface just incase you have any secondary IPs

Hi Dimitry,
I looks like those routes are originating via your IGP which has a lower AD
than IBGP. In this case do so ip route XX.XX.XX.0/22 to see how that route
is being learnt and injected into the routing table.

Peter
