Running 12.2.33SXH1 with SFP-GE-S style SFPs. Module 1 is a 6724. show int transceiver Transceiver monitoring is disabled for all interfaces. If device is externally calibrated, only calibrated values are printed. ++ : high alarm, + : high warning, - : low warning, -- : low alarm. NA or N/A:

Unfortunately this does appear to be hardware related and not so much code related. Did some checks and HW 3.0 and 3.1 6724s read the DOM information, 2.4 and 2.3 do not. It even works on SXF9. show int transceiver supported-list Transceiver Type Cisco p/n min version
