I believe it works like this:
The firmware updates immediately upon device package install, but isn't
available until TFTP is restarted. The device defaults are updated as well.
Just go into device defaults before you restart (since you do have to do a full
restart for new device models to
So to not look like a complete nut, this may have been sitting in my outbox on

Hi All,
Apologies for the miss. We’ve added it to the upcoming qualifications with an
ETA of January 23rd. We’ll qualify it at that time and update the Compatibility
Matrix. It should be pretty straightforward as it is already presumed qualified

I used 10.5.2 upgrade media to upgrade from 8.6, at that point you need to
do the fresh install and DRS restore routine to correct the unaligned
partition issue.
The issue occurs when you try to install a fresh subscriber after having

That totally makes sense now. Sorry for being dense.
Thanks for sharing the defect too by the way. I have done a few upgrades
from pre 9x to 10x recently and have yet to see an unaligned partition
issue. But I'll keep this one handy nonetheless.

But, in 8.5, the upload is still manual.

Not if both DNS are in the same partition. But if you change that, then you

You would have to place a different DN on Phone A and make the hunt pilot
the old DN number.
Easier method may just be to change the Call Forward No Answer on Phone A's
line to forward to Phone B's DN. Then change the Call Forward No Answer
timer to about 12 seconds for 3 rings.

On Wed,
One way is if the DNs are in different partitions.
So the hunt group DN is in a partition that most/appropriate people can access.
Phone A's DN is in a different partition that only the hunt group can access.
Phone B's DN is in a third partition that only the hunt group can access.
That way if
I could be mistaken, bu this functionality doesn't exist today.
