I have problems to install clamav 0.92 on Solaris 8 with GCC 3.4.6.
Below you can see the messages while configure and install it:

I am experiencing a very high CPU usage by clamd
process. Top always shows the CPU usage more than
100%.
I have clamav to scan AV for my mail server. Its a
qmail installtion with simscan. Clamav is installed on
FC5.
Is this a known problem ? Any suggestion to what

The custom configuration line that we use is:
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/var/run/clamav
--enable-milter --disable-clamuko --with-libcurl=no --disable-zlib-vcheck
Should I ad the --CFLAGS="-O0" parameter at the end?

I had also seen high cpu usage when clamd is updating its virusdb info.
Using a strace -p PID into clamd process shows a read operation followed by
a lot of other lines.
I don't have an output of it right now, but when there is a high cpu usage,
try getting the output of strace process and post her

Thanks for the pointer, but I did download the last development release
and had the same problem.
The failure only happens on Solaris 10 x86 system. I guess I need to
file a bug report with a complete debug output.
Anyway I have gone back to a previous release 0.91.2
