Your resolv.conf should be 644 by default. Unless some distro's do
weird permission setups on it upon installation, (not sure, because I am

I have just uninstalled clamav 0.70 and installed clamav 0.80 on MacOSX.
Clamav itself seems to be working ok but freshclam fails to start with an
error message saying that it cannot open /usr/local/lib/libclamav.1.dylib.
When I look in the directory that file is not there but there is
libclamav.
Wondering if freshclam should verify database integrity before
downloading updates ? I tested corrupted daily.cvd and it's not
detected.Any new option for freshclam (--verify) to verify and delete
corrupted database?

I have Freshclam cronned and I added the --on-error-execute= which runs
a little script to send me email.
At 2am, freshclam failed to connect to the first server and then got the
defs from the second. I'm guessing this produced an error because I did
*not* get an email (keep reading).

was incorrect and the problem is also at line 460.
Both lines 362 and 460 need to be changed from:

I'm running freshcam in daemon mode and cheking for updates 2 times at day.
I have seen in the log file that it is doing the check every 2 hours istead of
2 times at day.
I launch the daemon this way:

We're running clamav 0.65 on FreesBSD 4.7 and its been running well for over a year.
When I set it up, I didn't run it as supervised. I wanted to run that way now so I
followed the instructions in the docs on how to do it. It works but now when my cron
job(sans the quotes):
'/usr/local/bin

I used to run freshclam from cron but since the daemonized 0.67 freshclam
was released i have been using it that way to reduce load on freshclam
servers. Anyway, this morning i noticed that freshclam wasnt running.

I have recently updated my 4 ClamAV private mirrors to version
0.103.0 to fix issues downloading the cvd files.
However I am still having issues I have the servers setup to
use freshclam via a cron once per day.
