I am running into some issues with some Carbon stuff that is not avail
under 64-bit, but is for 32-but.
Items like:
framework/CP_Types.h(304): error: identifier CIconHandle is undefined
typedef CIconHandle OSColorIcon;

I tried the same experiment with a boost .so and it worked. What's
interesting is that I can link with thostmduserapi.so if I do it
manually or just renamed it, and the application works, so it looks like
the file is a valid object. gcc/c++ doesn't complain about a bad object

May I suggest you start by getting your stuff working in 32 bit first.

remember, this only happens when I invoke make from eclipse. when I invoke

The fixup bundle function _should_ be taking care of any dylib or
framework that is linked to your application. If the function is NOT
doing this then either we need better instructions, updated
instructions or the function has been mis-used. I am betting a little
bit of all of that.
