That was my merge request.
Which didn't get accepted anyway. I'm currently starting a new clone to
address all the points the CI had.
But after reading this I'll also remove the C++11 stuff.

I've been a been a cmake user for many years now and for the last year or
so I've mostly been using the codelite generator.
There are 2 "enhancements" I've made on my personal github clone which I
