I have a question (again) but this one is not related to CML (I dont think). I
have been having a problem with my stomach now for about three years (as long
as I have been dx'ed) and I have asked several docs about it including my
gastrointerologist, they all looked very interested and focused
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the group and relatively new to cml (Diagnosed in June2006)
I was searching the archives for problems relating to low neutrophils
and low platelets. The stuff I found about growth factors didn't sound
very positive but they date back from the beginning of the year. Doe
K,
Thanks for the information...the doctor I was talking about that
did my husband's "micro" back surgery is exactly that...Orthopedic
(& one of the best in the St. Louis area). He is one of those who
isn't "knife happy", if you know what I mean.
I've been using my Tens unit each day,
Dawn,
I have been on Gleevec since 04 and have nearly constant bone pain. You may
have to speak to your doctor about some pain medication. I am currently on 4
500mg 7.5 Loirtabs a day. I am not saying that is what you should take but I
would speak with your doctor about something. Take care,
Terr
My Dear Terry: Hang in there & don't give up on finding someone.
There are many single ladies out there waiting. I think a lot of
people do not realize that relationships between two people takes a lot
of "work & effort" on both parts. They use to use the phrase "50 50",
well that's not true,
"K", I don't know if it has any connection but since I was put on Gleevec I
occasionally experienced major bone pain in my upper right shin and am going in for a
total knee replacement tomorrow afternoon. The knee is bone on bone and the pain has
gotten to where I can't stand it any longer.
Hi David,
Was it Dr. Charles Schiffer? He is one of the top CML doctors in the
country. When I was scrambling looking for trial back in 2001, I came within
a month of going there instead of OHSU.

Kay,
I live in Empire, not too far from Traverse City. My local onc has treated me since I was diagnosed in January of 2003, but I went to Karmanos when they were trying to figure out my trisomy 12 mutation. (Turned out I have CML & CLL!) Good doctor down there, i can't remember his name.
