OMFG,
Those people need to be shot! Call me evil and mean, but to make your kid suffer so you can draw money off of them is just inhumane. That reminds me of a recent news story here in Cincy. A couple were foster parents to a 3 year old autistic boy, they decided they did not want to take him to
Hi Terry and I couldn't believe they wouldn't give my husband Disabiltiy when he had all his doctors records and etc.
Someone told him to get turned down 2 or 3 times and then hire a lawyer.
Well it worked.
Go figure.
My hubby didn't live to many years after he started drawing his disability.
He
I personally know of a family who for one (which totally pissed me off) waited to have surgery on their son done (born with club feet) so that he wouldnt be able to walk until he was almost a year old so they could draw SSI on him and then waited to have the other surgeries neccasary for as long
Hey Suzie,
I will have to check out that article. It really burns my butt when I hear about people like the drug fiend that get awarded SSD. I remember seeing something on one of the news shows before I was dxed and was working, about how various people were busted filing false workmans comp clai
Terry & Steve,
Just thought I would clue in to a great article in the recent Reader's
Digest on the fraud going on in SSD. I found it quiet an eye opener,
plus, Terry, might give you info on where to "make a complaint" about
the person you mentioned who was awarded his disability. I don't want

Jeanie,
Yeah it sucks the way the system is set up. It seems they fix it so people have to get a lawyer regardless of what is wrong with them. You know what 100 lawyers in the bottom of the ocean is?? A good start...rotfl. Sorry I just had to throw that in, no offense meant to any lawyers
Hello all,
My husband had open heart surgery and was not able to work.
He applied for Disability and was turned down several times even though he
had all his medical records and etc; he also had diabetes,
He finally hired a lawyer and he was awarded.
The lawyer got a big chunk of his award.

Roger,
When I first went on SSI for dissablilty it was in '87 and for "sever depression" I have been on it ever since. Once I was dx with CML it just carried over and there has been no question. I know a LOT of people who draw SSI for depression.
Hugs,
Katy

Steve and Roger,
First, no problem at all Steve for the info. To answer Roger the best I can. From what Allsup has told me, I more than fit the criteria. The problem I believe stems from the fact CML is a chronic disease, and thus we do not show the same signs of being ill as someone with a more
im curious, i have been told by my doctor that
disability is a no go because they view me as ok,
since in rem. does cml fall in a disability category
or do you have to have other illness to accompany. I
dont want to play the system but it is getting harde
and harder for me to perform my job due
TERRY,
THANK YOU SO MUCH
FOR THE INFO. I WILL ALSO KEEP YOU POSTED ON HOW MY CLAIM TURNS OUT.
ALTHOUGH, FROM WHAT MY WIFE SAID IT WILL TAKE 6-12 MONTHS OR MORE BEFORE I
GET A FINAL OUTCOME.
Steve,
I have been there and done that, I know how frustrating it is. Here is the background on my situation. I am on my third appeal. I have private disability from my former job that will pay me $1,700 a month until 2031. Well that insurance company hired Allsup to get me SSD so that they will no
