At some point, newer technology is a better option than rebuilding the old traveler. This is one of those times. You could probably find second hand stuff on the Web, but it's still going to be a 30 year old traveler.I second replacing with Harken.Get the track with adjustable hold down bolts. They

Just watched the big osprey try to land on another masthead. He was not

I like having a tach but for $20 you can get a portable laser-tach from
amazon. Make sure that the idle is always less than 1000 rpm. Only shift
with the throttle all the way down. Then on the top end of the RPM range
try to run full throttle to prevent coking up the exhaust elbow. As the
I've owned three CC's over the past 20 years. First a Rob Ball designed 34+,
then another Rob design the 51. As of last month I now own a Tartan built 121.
I have to say, thus far it has proven to be a worthy successor to the Niagara
built boats. So is this list open to the new breed?

Hi John,
And welcome to the list.
We're mostly a group of the oldies and goodies as you seem aware. The
past sponsor of the West Coast Rendezvous, Yachts West, brought a
Tartan build CC 115 to the event one year and they didn't get beat
up too badly.

Lol. She's in Centerport, NY(long island sound) and is named Paws; like her
predecessors. I was originally looking for a late 80's 38. My wife wanted a J
boat (yep, you read that right). We found the 121 and instantly felt like we
had returned home. Tartan did a nice job of retaining the
