I replaced mine 2 years ago ( a real pain...), I don't remember the bedding to be a problem, I always use an Olfa-type cutter to cut the seal. The issue was more with access and the 18 screws that were frozen, I had to use my impact to break them loose ( the kind you smash with a hammer ).Lost 3
