I use pretty much any affordable synthetic grease I can get... and for oil, just synthetic motor oil. It's important to stick with the synthetics from what I've been told...as far as what brand, I don't believe it's terribly important...I buy mine at hardware and automotive stores.

You could look at Castrol Braycote 601. It is a perflouoronated grease taht we used in missile controls. It is basically an inert grease that should be compatible with the plastics. Only downside is that it is about a $100 an ounce. Neil Schiller 1970 Redwing 35, Hull #7 (C&C 35, Mark I) "C

I have brought all my winches home and cleaned them and getting set to regrease them. Most of the larger bearings are cylindrical units with plastic rollers. I bought some Harken winch grease today and it specifically says it is not intended for plastic rollers and to use an oil instead. The

Mine doesn't have the internal switch but I wired it to ONLY the AC receptacles via a rotary switch and the receptacles breaker. I did the same with a friend's boat. That is, the switch is between the breaker panel supply buss and the line side of the AC receptacle breaker. The high amp AC users
