Renaming my new (to me) 1988 Landfall 39 on Friday. Significant Other will be
stricken from Poseidon's records, and I will ask him to watch over all that
sail on Rebecca Leah (after my daughters) from here on out. My daughter's will
be at the ceremony and then a nice sail out on Puget Sound. I
Sounds like a problem with the connector or the flex where the cable exits
the connector. This is common with headphones. Since you already took the
junction box apart you could hardwire the power cable.

Black on start, clears with RPM. Does it come back?
Sometimes dirty or old injectors can leak a little fuel back on top of the
cylinders while shutdown. It burns of during startup and blows black
smoke. It may not make a lot of difference to the operation of the engine
but will probably get wor
Might be injectors. Or plugged air intake. Check intake, make sure it is clean.
Do you use any fuel additives? I use Soltron, it helps keep the injectors, and
fuel clean.

Hi,
I have a flexible (rollable) solar panel (PowerFilm, bought it at Defender a
couple of years ago). It worked great for a few seasons, but this year it
stopped. A bit of troubleshooting showed up that the battery generates power,
but the short cable with a plug (pigtail) must have a problem

This just started. Black smoke on startups clears with rpm. Have read that's

If your tank is like ours, almost all the gunk is in the Racor and very
little is left in the tank. The fuel pickup seems to get it all to the
Racor.
Last time I had a little bit of water and gunk in the bottom of the fuel
tank I used our Pela 6000 Oil Extractor to suck it up.

Thanks Ken, I'm planning to do a complete cleanout in the off season but I'm
getting a little black goo in my Racor bowl so I must do something now. I've
rigged up a fuel pump and filter and I'll do my best to suck up as much as I
can.

Kevin, I know it is not a "race boat", but hAve you looked at a C&C landfall
38? I have one that has been set up for single handing, has duel quarter
berths and best of all it is turnkey, and it is in Puget Sound already. I am
open to just about all offers.

Hi,
Back in 2013 When I was looking to upgrade, I was interested in the C&C 110,
Sabre 362, Tartan 3500 and a few other boats. The 110 was much cheaper and much
faster than the others. It's very difficult to find the sabre with the deep
keep. There are some tartans with the deep keep but most h

Most the C&C 40's (predecessor to the 37+) didn't have an aft cabin but
there was a less common Aft Cabin version (basically the aft port quarter

The Sabres are beautiful boats, and also tricked out. I dock next to my
friend’s 42, with the dodger/bimini combo, push button main, wooden cabinetry,
central air, TV, etc. Beautiful boat. I must say, though, when it comes to
actually sailing (which is why I own a sailboat), I like an open co
At the risk of getting banned from the list, you may want to look at the Saber
362, as well. Well-built and good sailers, they have a decent aft cabin, and a
really nice head located aft. The galley is great, and the v-berth is pretty
nice, too.

Of course I forgot about the C&C 120 which was the successor to the 37+
(37/40). And the C&C 40's (predecessor to the 37+) were very nice and
reasonable boats too.
