I replaced mine with a Beckson 4 x 14 with rain gutter from Defender. $135 five years ago. Still, with slope of the bulk head it is mounted in, water gathers in lower part if heeled, and when opened will dribble in.. Bill Walker 1981 CnC 36 Pentwater, Mi.

Beckson! Yes Bomar is probably the front hatch. Peter at HMP in Toronto will probably have one. If anyone knows where to find hull number 216, it was 1981 36 KCB in Iceland Blue, I have the manual and build file. Len Mitchell Crazy Legs 1989 C 37+ Midland On Sent from my mobile device.

I had a 1981 36 and I am not positive but believe the port was made by Bomar. It was plastic with black closure knobs, had a lip on the outside maybe 1 inch. Either way, I got a new direct replacement at HMP in Toronto. Len Mitchell C 37+ Crazy Legs Midland On. Sent from my mobile device.

I use McFeely's for most of my boat fasteners.  I try to use Robertson Head (square drive) for most of what I do. McFeely's has both Silicon Bronze and stainless screws available. Neil Schiller Old: 1970 Redwing 35 (C 35-1), Hull #7 New: 1983 C 35-3, Hull #28 Whitehall, Michigan WLYC On

Danny's boat is not a C, so it may well have a "salon." You never know with these off-brand boats. :) I'd never seen those Sharx screws. I'll look into them and see if they have a following with the traditionalists. Andy formerly, C 40 Peregrine now, Baltic 47 Masquerade On Wed, Mar 28, 2018 at
