When I had the rudder out I cleaned up the hole where the grease cap was, had a 5' 1/4" hydraulic hose made up by a local tractor service shop that had a fitting to go in the rudder post and a zero at the other end.  I used Wests 6/10 epoxy on the rudder post threads to just hand tight.  I ran
