The water heater was not used last summer. It was left bypassed. When hooked up
last week the pump did the nonstop thing. We put it back on bypass. But yes, if
left connected, antifreeze would find its way into tap water and or vise versa.

I replaced Touche's Perko cowl vents with the same chrome Perkos. Before I
installed them, I sprayed them with 3 coats of Superior Shield
fluoropolymer protective coating (Shield Products Tel 904.880.6060). Over
10 years and no significant pitting.

Dwight,

What is the proper way to split the hot coolant so that some goes to the
hot water heater and some to the engines heat exchanger. Any proportioning

I’ll second checking the PRV. I had mine lifting sometimes if motoring for
some distance the tank would get too hot and lift the PRV. I cleaned the heat
exchanger on the motor (Yanmar) and even though it didn’t look that dirty I
haven’t had the issue since.

at the same time. The Isotherm is 750 watts, all the other units were 1000-1200

Something that sounds weird there. If your engine water is leaking in the
heat exchanger in your hot water tank, wouldn't you be getting antifreeze
in your domestic hot water? My domestic water pump sometimes runs
continuously as well, but I think I have determined I have a leak
somewhere, where it
