Fred — if you’re in a position to get a new autopilot course computer, I’d recommend it. The new ones from Raymarine are nice; I can price you one at my cost, if you’d like. You’ll also need to get a new control head, as the older ones don’t have the functionality to program the new course com

Fred — can you get me the model number of the linear drive in your boat (I’m assuming it’s linear…)? Specs on the website show the displacement of the C&C44 at 20,000 lbs; the drive you’ve got will determine whether you’ll need the Raymarine ACU-200 or ACU-400 course computer. The Type 1 drive

I would guess that you probably have a Type 2 (up to 33,000 lbs displacement), due to the fact that your course computer is a 300; if it was a Type 1, you’d probably have the smaller 100 course computer. I just checked the manual for the 100/300 systems — I love that Raymarine has the older man
