I have used Thunderbird for years. The problem is my ISP's spam filter, I never saw quite a few list posts. That's why I use Gmail for the C&C List. Jim Watts Paradigm Shift C&C 35 Mk III Victoria, BC On Sat, 1 May 2021 at 10:32, Doug Robinson via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > Inst

Thank you, everyone for your suggestions. Tom Buscaglia mentioned chamois. I have a cheep synthetic one that didn't work well for its intended purpose; maybe it'll work for the toe rail. I'll start with that and move on to other ideas if it doesn't work here ether. Thanks again, Jim Hesketh Whis

Old face cloth. Cut in half. Fold over. Insert in toerail hole. Half hangs over the side. Other half inboard of toerail. Wicks very well. Replace as needed as gets funky. Cheap and effective. John Read On Thu, Apr 29, 2021, 10:59 AM John Irvin via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > They

We use cellulose sponges trimmed to fit. We have to replace them every 6 months or so, but they are cheap and work well. Another lister sewed lamp wicks in a T shape and he said those worked nicely. Jim Watts Paradigm Shift C&C 35 Mk III Victoria, BC On Thu, 29 Apr 2021 at 07:55, James Hesketh v

I simply cut natural sponge and stuff it through the toerail. Yes, it fails in a year or two in the hot Florida sun, but it works great. Bruce Whitmore 1994 C&C 37/40+ "Astralis" Madeira Beach, FL (847) 404-5092 Thanks to all of the subscribers that contributed to the list to help with the costs

I have heard that a strip of chamois cut into a "T" works good. I just wrap a 10-12" length of left over 1/4" double braided line around one of the holes so it lays at the buttom of the rail and it works fine. IMO, no need for anytyhign custom or special. .¤º°`°º¤,¸¸,¤º°`°º¤¤º°`°º¤,¸¸,¤º°`°

Amazon sell self watering wicking cord. It is made from a polyester-mixed fiber, so it may have some UV resistance. It costs $10 per 50ft, so even if it has a limited life, you would have plenty to spare. https://www.amazon.com/Watering-Capillary-Self-watering-Automatic-Hydroponic/dp/B07CLNG

That's exactly what I did. Worked great but UV killed it in a few months. It fell apart. Sewed two short pieces of lamp wick under a single long piece. The short pieces laid in the puddle on the deck and the long piece went out through the toe rail and hung down a few inches. Great design. No
