Thanks, I was at WESTMARINE yesterday and noticed the daynight one on display
seemed removable, but the packaging said it was permanent, and the sales person
was not too informative. Will do further research.

I have an older (at least 8 years old) Nicro solar vent on my forward
hatch...it has a C cell rechargeable battery.replaced the original
battery last yearworks 24-7 wouldn't be without it.
