I added some longitudinal stringers to a 24 foot racer years ago. The owner wanted to strengthen the hull in the aft section. I used preformed foam core stringers like these. https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/document.do?docId=679 They worked great. Very easy to work with.
