Figured it out!
It appears that the upgrade changed some of both of the network_config snippets
and did not overwrite (I only saw one renamed to .rpmnew initially)... once I
took another look I found another, copied that one over and rebooted and now it
is working fine.
Thanks for pointing me
Hi Owen -
Thanks for the response. The append line is only 160 characters.. I am blanking
some of this out but this is what that specific pxe cfg looks like, is there
anything wrong with it?
default linux
prompt 0
timeout 1
label linux
kernel /images/CentOS6-x86_64/vmlinuz
ipapp
Have you verified your actual PXE cfg? If the append line is >255 characters,
the ipappend will fall off the end.

Hi all -
Hoping someone can help me out, my google searches seem to have been exhausted.
I have deployed off of cobbler in the past and need to deploy 40 more servers
tonight. I added my systems like I did previously, using the same profiles that
worked fine before.
The only major change I can
Environment:
# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (Santiago)
# rpm -qv cobbler
cobbler-2.2.2-1.el6.noarch
I'm trying to set up a few rsync repositories to mirror. As far as I
can see, cobbler always uses
rsync -rltDv --delete --exclude-from=/etc/cobbler/rsync.e
Hi List,
Would anyone know if there is any documentation on how to use cobbler
to deploy debian onto bare-metal ?
I've found https://github.com/cobbler/cobbler/wiki/Installation-Notes
which discusses installing cobbler on debian-squeeze which worked
fine.
However I'm looking for more information
Hello!
Thanx to iranzo and jimi1283 for changing the docu

Ok, but one question still exists for me:
What is the best way to add a system only for DHCP in Cobbler?
For example a printer.
When i need a profile, i need also a distribution, right?

Thanx,
so the doc "How It Works" here
https://github.com/cobbler/cobbler/wiki/DHCP%20management
is wrong, or not complete?

Hi
Profile is missing, if you don't want to accidentally 'wipe it', create a new
image profile providing "chain.c32" as kernel and "hd0" as argument so even if
accidentaly you change it to netboot-enabled=yes, it will just execute a boot
to disk approach.

Pablo
