Hi, COBirder~
Last night at 5:00 PM (like a cuckoo clock) the Rusty Blackbird popped up in
the tree next to the paved walkway and started singing! Wow. At the time I
was watching a Cinnamon Teal in the creek.
I was standing on the paved walkway, about 50 yards west of the underpass.
I threw out some seed in the garden area at the Red Rocks Trading Post
this morning a little before 8:00 a.m., and in 10 minutes or so the
Golden-crowned Sparrow landed on the platform feeder.

The Bald Eagles are still fishing on Highland Lake (and still stalking my
hens). Longest I have ever seen them stay in almost 23 years of living here.
Today, several Pelicans arrived to join the gulls and eagles.

Hi Birders,
Searched for over an hour for the Sage Sparrow. It was not there. Saw heard
many Juncos, Song Sparrows had a single Am. Tree Sparrow.

This evening while out in the backyard I saw a single Tree Swallow foraging
over the North Fork of the Gunnison River. Hadn't seen any reports of this
species yet. I thought it was strange to just see one by its lonesome.
