Hi Cobirders
Wilson's Warblers (67 banded) filled the nets today with a good variety of
other birds, 125 individuals of 23 species. So far this fall we have rarely
recaptured a bird on a following day, today we caught a few that were still
hanging around here. Cordilleran Flycatcher banded 9/
As I am sure you have seen, there has been some discussion about what should
and should not be posted on COBIRDS.

This afternoon there was a Bald Eagle perched in a tree right near Cherryvale
Road on the west side of Baseline Reservoir. Looked to me like a third year
bird. Several vehicles were stopped and people were taking pictures with their
phone cameras. A school bus drove by very slowly. Evidently, th

Can't agree more. I drove by about 45 mins ago and there were 2 identical 3rd
yr Balds in that big half-dead cottonwood, a favorite perch for all sorts of
birds.

How ironic! That is my daughter's bus, which she missed today! We
drove by and saw the bird about that same time.

I agree 100%!!!
The birdwatching community should not be an "elitist" group. I dislike the
idea that some folks want to limit those who are not "expert" in their
eyes. I easily remember when some compilers thought my sightings were not
creditable and would not post them.

Well I'm sure glad I posted my "Bullock's Oriole" that was NOT a Bullock's
Oriole once I really looked at the picture I took. So, yeah people post those
possibles!
