Hi all,On 7/11, Peggy Wait and I saw 1, gorgeous ad. Peregrine Falcon in
Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge [Jackson County]. The bird was seen off the
auto tour road. When heading west on the tour road from the main entrance, the
bird was seen near the last pond [north and near the road],

Sunday, I did the Deadman Road BBS near Red Feather Lakes and had lots
of 3-toeds . The second gate on Deadman Road was still closed so I
completed the route (3 miles) on bike. I saw 8 in the first 2 miles
along the creek bottom. They started a half mile from the second gate
and should be easy

On Sunday evening (7/10) at 6:45 pm I had about 50-75 common nighthawks fly
over
my house and neighborhood on the north side of Milner mountain, southwest of
Fort Collins. They pased by within 5 minutes and were essentially heading

My coworker, Ryan Prioreschi, found a Canyon Towhee outside our office at 66 S
Cherryvale Rd about two hours ago. I just returned from the field and the thing
is foraging in tha landscaping and even under the cars in the parking lot. This
is the City of Boulder Open Space and
The Canyon Towhee is being seen now, 3:30 pm, in the bushes in front of the
Visitor parking spaces.

Just some odds and ends from my yard which is on the east side of Colorado
Springs. First the odd thing, I have had a CORDILLERAN FLYCATCHER the last two
days singing every song I think it knows. This is an annual species for my
yard (1 or 2 each late spring) but this bird is more
While atlasing out east today, I found and photographed an adult
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher along Yuma County Road Y, just south of Road 59,
near the Phillips/Yuma County line.
The Amherst area northeast of Holyoke in Phillips County has received 6
inches of rain in the past four days.
