Had a Northern Cardinal fly by about 30 minutes ago doing charactersitic
chip calls, possibly startled by a crow that came into the trees. All I
saw was a flash as it went by, but it called all the way down a small creek
between Bldgs A and B at the Federal Complex on Center Ave. in Fort
I didn't spot this one, but a friend of mine saw a Black-chinned
Hummingbird at Devil's Backbone Open Space in Loveland. Don't have
details of specifically where in the park.
I also was at Pineridge Natural Area (Dixon Reservoir) a couple days
ago and the male Black-chinned Hummingbird is still

I had to walk the dog before birding at Lowell Ponds this afternoon. A male
Yellow-headed Blackbird was at Rocky Mountain Lake Park (Denver). He was on
the grass near the playground. I saw one at the edge of the lake in the
same general area on April 25. A pair of Ruddy Duck were
