Maybe if folks had not covered the bridge with seed, creating a potential
hazard, but rather along the bushes and grasses on either side of the bridge
the hammer would not have come down so hard.
It sure is interesting, Paul, that they used an ordinance that actually permits
birdfeeding

COBirders,
The Colorado Springs CBC is scheduled for Saturday, December 15 with
records kept for the three days before and after for birds not seen on
count day. More than twenty teams will be birding different areas in the
count circle. If you want to participate, please send an e-mail to me

Joe,
I saw your post to CO birds. Thanks for working on the seed issue. I tend

Thanks to Joe Roller et al for a good chuckle, especially Joe's
expressions of remorse. I enjoy very much the humor and eloquence of
the frequent posters, as much as the great information provided.

each group by a cursory count. One group had a Ross Goose and the other had

Several things of note:
Steve Frye's Wild Bird Center outing found about 40 common redpolls at

A pair of mature Bald Eagles have been fishing and hunting ducks, geese, and a

Yesterday afternoon there was a female Harrier soaring over Cottonwood Marsh at
Walden Ponds, the first one there I have seen in a really long tine, at least a

feral duck?) in the first pond that Cara said has been
