Does fracking threaten some birds in Colorado, specifically at Longmont’s
Union Reservoir? Politics and COBirds don’t often mix—like hunting, cats,

Weld County is Little Texas ... I can go to WCR 124 and count ~40 well
heads using my binos and scanning 360 degrees. The boom is "on" in Weld
County ... :-(

With all the Common Redpolls being seen this year, a couple more may not
get anyone

I guess the smaller gull with a black bill with a yellow tip at Pueblo
Reservoir today, isn't a Sabine's Gull, though it is unknown what it might be.
If you were hoping to see a Sabine's Gull, I guess this bird isn't one. Gulls
are really annoying, just like swans and "winter" type wrens.
Two
Yesterday when I was looking at Marston from both the east and west side, I
counted a total of 5 Common Loons. On the west side next to the water was a
Say's Phoebe. The new bird for yesterday was 1,American White Pelican. In
general bird numbers were down compared to previous days.

Hi All,
Joel Such, Levi Stone, and I found a Dunlin feeding with a flock of
Killdeer at Jimm Hamm Pond (just across the county line from Union Res.)
today at about 3:15 PM. I presume this might be the same bird seen by Ted
Floyd at Panama Res a few days ago.
