As I and others have noted recently, there're an awful lot of ravens in Boulder
County right now. Yesterday afternoon, Sunday, Dec. 2nd, Hannah and Andrew and
I drove up to a raven on a post near Lagerman Reservoir that looked great for

Yesterday at 2:30 pm, while out on a bike ride with my son, I saw a N.
Pygmy-Owl fly across Eben G. Fine park in Boulder and land in a tree next
to 6th St. It remained there long enough for me to get a few photos with
my iPhone through my binocs.

At lunch this afternoon I ran over to Utah Park (Peoria and Jewell,
Aurora) to pick through the hundreds upon hundreds of geese to see what I
could pull out of them. Last week I was there and saw a white goose in with
them but did not have my binoculars to ID it as Ross or Snow. Today there
Late report but nothing really chaseable. I drove to Salida last Friday in
search of Rough-legged Hawks that I usually find in that area. Though I
did not find any there I did spot one on my way home in the Coaldale area.
Then on Saturday I was disappointed to not see a Rough-legged on my way
