Note: Eurasian-collared doves are an exotic and can be taken without limit
at any time during the year according to the current regulations - I
believe a small-game license is required.

Today was the first official day for RMBO bird banding at CBR, El Paso Co side.
Along with 80 4th graders, we got SLAMMED by an arrival of sparrows about 930.
Over a 200 m front we probably had 75 birds in nets at the same time. With this
influx we tallied about 125 birds caught

As you may have heard, the recent 9 inch rain at Last Chance caused
flash-flooding
that played havoc with plantings and the drip irrigation system birders
installed in April. Area residents have been repairing it, but have asked
for help from birders.

I stopped at Last Chance yesterday morning on my way to Prewett Reservoir, and
it was extremely birdy. I got there about 6:45 am and stayed for 45 minutes
