I realize that I am in the minority, but I am a vegetarian. This is primarily a
philosophical choice for me.
I think it must be hard for hunters to understand how upsetting it is to
be out watching the birds, enjoying and appreciating their beauty, only to

Not only were they polite, a fair number were outright friendly and interested
in what I was up to. I do think dressing like an outdoorsman (I wear camo)

My wife and I decided to hike the Catamount Reservoir Trail this morning.
We parked at Green Mountain Falls and walked up some really steep hills to
get to the trail. I was looking forward to seeing alot of bird activity,
but was greatly disappointed. We arrived at South Catamount Reservoir
I call it the curse of the big event..we've been catching 40-something birds
each day recently, then we hit an activity like Barr Lake's Fall Birding
Fest and the number drops to less than half that. Many more visitors than
birds. We even opened the nets at the feeders at the Nature Center so we

launching area at Pueblo Reservoir this afternoon, for some Durango area
birders, plus one from Denver, and me. I got some photos.
