After a wait I heard the Grace's Warbler sing repeatedly from around 2:30
to 3:00 this afternoon. I did not see the bird.

Personally, I have noticed an increase in Blue Grosbeaks around Fort
Collins at least. Looking at my ebird sightings I counted 76 birds seen
last year among 4 sites I frequent around the Fort. I have sightings in
each month from May to September, most coming from Douglass Reservoir a few
miles

Hi, all. More than a dozen birders turned out for the Aiken Audubon Society
field trip today to Turkey Creek Recreation area at Fort Carson in El Paso
County. We had a total of 45 species, most being the expected ones for TCR.
The big miss again was NO Lewis's Woodpeckers.

Birders,
The Black Phoebe was still at the bridge on 75th over Boulder Creek just
before noon today. I got to see it for only a few minutes before I lost
track of it and didn't see it again in the next 15 min.
It was perching on the north side of the creek near a gate. Photo link:

more common in the northeastern quadrant of Colorado than they used to be.
They used to be present in this area back in the 1970s and 1980s but were
noteworthy, and very local. Now I would say they are sort of expecte
Good morning,
While doing point counts at the Eldorado Mountain Open Space (OSMP) this
morning, I found a territorial male GRACE'S WARBLER. For years I've been
looking at this particular grove of old-growth Ponderosa Pines and thinking
about how great it would be to have a GRWA there. His territ
Hi all
First the CPER-area is blanketed in flowers-a first in our 12 years--and
green. Simply beautiful--mostly the white evening primrose (like snow) but
some "orange" ones and some "purple" ones (my wife knows the names). Took
photos posting later in day.
New birds are Cassin's Sparrow, We
Coming back from a lovely walk to Lagernan reservoir, I heard of blue grosbeak
singing on the corner of North 75th and Clover Basin Drive in west Longmont, SE
corner of the intersection.

I know the old-timers know about this location but thought some new
Colorado birders might be interested. I easily found two singing Grace's
Warlbers at the junction of Hwy 149 and the Sapinero Cut-off road (Gunnison
County Road 26) on the evening of May 30th. I did see both well also. The
