Yesterday a *Greater White-fronted Goose* passed over St. Mary Church at
South Prince in Littleton, amid a flock of Canada Geese. There was a very
strong movement of Canada and Cackling over Littleton yesterday. Today a *Say's
Phoebe* was on the church grounds.

Hello, Birders.
This morning, Sun., Nov. 22, I saw a strikingly white *Aechmophorus grebe*
on Baseline Reservoir, Boulder County. When I first glimpsed the bird in my
scope--it was way out there--I thought it was a swan. Then it swam next to
a *western grebe.* It's a beautiful bird, that's for
This afternoon there was one swan way over on the north shore of Leggett
Reservoir (the NW of the Valmont complex). I presume that this is one
continuing bird from those seen at the end of the week by Christian Nunes and
John Vanderpoel, but perhaps not as it was missed by a couple of parties
Chris Knight and I saw a Red-naped Sapsucker in Pueblo City Park this morning.
We walked the Goodnight River Trail, and didn't find anything of note. There
are a few Yellow-rumped Warblers around Pueblo, though no other warblers seem
to be with them.

In the enormous flock of white cheeked geese around Dodd Reservoir, or in the
field between the Diagonal Highway and Niwot Road, there are about a dozen
white geese that without a scope look like snow geese. The sound is quite
extraordinary from the thousands of geese.

Hello Birders,
After wrapping up our fruitless American Woodcock search on CSU campus, Andy
Bankert and I continued north with the intent of locating the Tundra Swans
reported at North Poudre Reservoir #4 yesterday. The reservoir is frozen over
and no swans were present.

We had a group of 8 Trumpeter Swans fly over us about 10:15 am at
Horsetooth Reservoir on the east side across from Inlet Bay near the
southern end of the reservoir. The birds flew north over us and then turned
west and flew over the ridge towards Inlet Bay when we lost them. One bird

Birders,
I failed to see the Least Bittern near John Martin Reservoir on two
passes this morning. The shallow pond froze with temperatures that
dipped into the teens last night. I will drive by many times in the next
week, and will update if it is seen again.

A group of us finished up the Grand Valley Audubon Society Waterfowl Field

Our reward was great looks at a male RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER (
No woodcock luck so far this morning at CSU. The Tennessee Warbler is still
