Hello Fellow Birders, Saw a dark-morph Harlan's Hawk along the section of
the Greenwood Gulch walking path that runs northwest from near Holly & Orchard
to its terminus at the Highline Canal. I've seen such a bird in this area
most winters, so I'm guessing this is the same one. Mild weath
Matt,
The person reporting the Chukar isn't known by the general Colorado Springs
birding community, so we've no way of contacting her.
Also, it's my understanding that the only wild Chukars are on the Western
Slope, so this bird is likely one that was to be used for hunting purposes.

Hey there?
Is there any contact or visitor information for going to see the Chucker in the
Springs?
Thanks,

Okay got pretty excited about this find. With the bird headed west, I
wondered about our local San Luis Valley lakes. Gave them a quick look but
no Frigatebird at San Luis, Smith or Mountain Home reservoirs. We will keep
watching. Otherwise it was a fabulous day outdoors!

Hi All,
I’ve just relocated the BOHEMIAN WAXWING found by Dave Prentice earlier
this morning at Hudson Gardens, in Littleton, ARAPAHOE county. The bird is

Hi all
Had two Lapland Longspur fly overhead in yard yesterday. You can probably
find them along Weld CR 33 between 98 and 100. The expansive Prairie Dog
colony to the west is now grown into our 33 acres (Two Burrowing Owl
families this summer).
Thanks, Gary Lefko, Nunn

Hello all,.
The yellow-billed loon reported yesterday from Cell No. 3 south of Ken
Mitchell Park, in Brighton, Adams, is still present this morning.
Currently in far NE corner.
Good birding,

Thank you Peter Gent for correcting me. The earlier Frigatebird was Green
Mountain Reservoir, not Dillon, and it was in September of 1985. I should
have checked the records rather than my memory!
