All,
Tonight just before halftime I was enjoying a cold Banquet in the parking
lot overlooking the SW side of the Broncos fracas.
The wind was blowing stiff from the south, and I observed three solitary
large-bodied birds hauling south head-long into the wind.
Each bird was 2-3min apart, and

I just observed 3 peregrine falcons over 18th & Glenarm in Downtown Denver.
One bird was an apparent juvenille who was calling constantly to its
parents as they danced between and over the buildings in the area.

All,
For the past year and a half I have seen a single peregrine falcon and the
intersection of 17th and Lawrence, and sometimes as far up as the Wells
Fargo building at 17th and Lincoln. This includes sightings in the dead of
winter as well as spring.
Today I saw two birds flying above 17th

Just had ~100 red-necked phalaropes on Sloan's Lake. The birds were very
active around the middle of the lake, even getting very close to shore on
the West (Sheridan) side.
This is the 2nd time I've had RN Phalarope here - I had 25 birds in

Looks like the same type of bird that turned up at Sloan's Lake in 2014
(and spent some time at Wash Park ) that was deemed a hybrid (though some
lucky birders got to count it as a Ross'!)
John Sterling found a 'true' blue-Ross' recently out in California:
will hang around at all.
Also of note, especially for my Sloan's Lake and Denver list was a Song
Sparrow in the same set of reeds.

There are 3 Bonaparte’s gulls in the NW side of Sloan's Lake.
They are going back and forth, W to E with the wind, feeding while flying
slowly upwind, then flying back downwind to the W side again.

the other raven hung out at the lake getting harassed by a few
crows.
eBird has no ferruginous hawk records for west Denver, and since the bird
was over Sloan's when I first saw it, I'll count it for my Sloan's list,
and that would make it species #130 for the lake...

All,
Based on the following post, it looks like this bird might be a hybrid
after all:
http://jerryjourdan.blogspot.com/2011/03/belle-isle-rosss-goose-x-07-mar-2011.html
The bird in the article is identical to the one I found. I'll then have
to retract full 'blue' ross' goose at this time!

Tonight at dusk 2 small geese flew over the lake with 3 big ones.
After dark I heard the calls of more small geese flying over and likely
into the lake.

All,
This morning on my way into work I saw two female goldeneyes under the
Speer Bridge at Confluence Park, Denver.
One of them appeared to have a yellow bill, indicating to me a female
barrow's.
I didn't have my binoculars as I was on my bike.
There are also 8-10 hooded mergansers, and
