Hi folks,
Both the golden crowned sparrow and the Eastern bluebird as reported by Nathan
Pieplow earlier are still present, in the same locations as before. More or
less.
Also some co-mingling Blue Jays and Steller’s Jays.

The Golden-crowned Sparrow continues at CU Boulder's South Campus, south of
the tennis courts where a gate crosses the trail. An Eastern Bluebird was
in the Russian-olives about a quarter mile southwest of there, on the
hillside at the edge of the houses.

Amazingly, the Golden-crowned Sparrow that Scott Severs found at the Teller
Farms trailhead on Valmont Road in November 2010 has returned to the same
location for a fifth winter! We can only imagine where it goes during the
summer.
Directions to the trailhead are

Said sparrow continues at Teller Farms north parking lot, off Valmont Rd.
Look in the cedar windbreak to the south. Hanging out with a half- dozen
White crowned cousins, in full view of the Boulder Bird Club today.

A first year Golden-crowned Sparrow was at the Teller Farms parking lot off
Valmont Rd. More specifically feeding with White-crowned Sparrows in the
road/trail leading south from the lot where the juniper wind break abuts the
fence line. Kinda funny because it was the first bird I put my bins on.
