Birders
On our bird walk this morning at Barr Lake, we had a roadrunner run into a
hedge behind the Nature center. I looked for it again about 1/2 hour later
and could not relocate it.

Yesterday, April 5th circa 1145 we were driving west to Ft. Morgan on hwy 52

stopped, backed and filled I was only able to get one blurry photo of the bird
before it disappeared into the underbrush. This was about a mil

Birders,
We went over to Dinosaur Ridge this afternoon to see if we could find the
Roadrunner. The wind was a problem. We ran into George and Jane but none of
us were able to see the bird.
However, one of the bus drivers told us that he was seen yesterday and today
on the west side of the ridge.
Anyone seen the roadrunner since the big snow? I spent about an hour
walking the road on west side of ridge yesterday. Think I saw the
bird fly - twice - but couldn't be sure. Right coloration, right kind
of flight, right shape, but I never saw the bird on the ground. Saw

Birders,
I took a few minutes late this afternoon to go to Dinosaur Ridge and took a
tub of suet with me to leave for the Roadrunner in case he has survived the
snow and cold. I left the suet up on a ledge near a tree not too far from
the curve. I hope it finds it and I hope it helps.

Hi -
We were driving home to Golden from Morrison and stopped at Dinosaur Ridge and
walked up the road. We were almost to the top and looking back we saw the
Roadrunner working his way up a diagonal slope in the rocks. It was about 2:00
PM. He disappeared into the bushes and we lost him then.
Hi Joe and cobirders,
Sorry for the lack of details in the earlier post. Your interpretation was
correct. The roadrunner was above the road about halfway up the hill to
the top of the ridge on the rocky side, not the grassy slope below the
road. We saw the bird for about 15 minutes before we lo

Patty Echelmeyer called to report seeing the roadrunner on the hill
just above the dinosaur footprints interpretive sign at a little past
