Threw some seed out early on this frosty morning (16 degrees at the
Red Rocks Trading Post). Flock of 25-30 Rosy-Finches about 6:45 A.M.
with the same general mix - mostly Gray-crowned with some Hepburn's,
4-5 Black, and only one Brown-capped Rosy-Finch. The Golden-crowned

feeders behind the Red Rocks Trading Post followed by a small flock
(approx. 30+ birds) of Rosy-Finches. All 3 species were represented -

After returning from a trip out of town, I visited the Red Rocks
feeders behind the Trading Post this morning. I was joined by Alex
Cruz, Jr. and his father. There was a small flock of 15 -20 Rosy-
Finches early around 7 - 7:15. Included in the group were mostly Gray-

When I arrived at the Red Rocks feeders about 7:30 a.m., the large
flock of Rosy-Finches was already there. Again all 3 species plus the
Hepburn's sub-species were represented. Also saw a male Cassin's
Finch and some Pine Siskins in addition to the regular fare. The
Early this morning Michael Kiessig and I shoveled walks and prepared
feeding areas at the area behind the Red Rocks Trading Post in
