Who out there is offering a real-time "find empty seats" type service for study
space in their library buildings, using sensors/cameras/etc? I've found
several pilots, student projects etc., but I'm not finding a lot of
in-production displays of this particular info. Maybe y'all have
University of North Carolina Wilmington's Randall Library is seeking a Web and
Applications Developer for our highly collaborative Library IT department.
This position works as part of a (great!) team in the development and
maintenance of websites, software and applications developed or used

I'm really surprised to see the cost being the main factor. Alma and
WMS, are not known to be cheap. For Alma, it's known to be very
expensive in fact.
If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative, you should investigate
Open Source. A solution like Koha + Coral + Ebsco EDS
