The latest ircu is having a strange behaviour when the root uses date -s to
set a new time:
After some seconds it drops ALL client- and serverconnections except
operators with a ping timeout. (maybe the cookies expire, but i turned back the time
by 1 hour)
Ircu2.10.10 doesn't show such a behaviour

The IRC protocol has no way to specify the user's language. English is
the only translation of the notices and numeric replies available. Even
if some

Dear Sir,
I am using ircu2.10.11 right now. It's great but I have question. Does it
support other language? Now I can use only English. Please advise.
Another thing, Is there any ircservices supported on this version? I try to
use ircservices version 39 but it doesn't support.

Greetings. I consider beta51 a possible release candidate. All u2.10.11
servers currently linked to Undernet have been updated to it. If you see
it doing anything you think even might be a bug, please send email to

I'm attempting to run ircd (ircu2.10.11beta27) in a chroot jail. I compiled
statically with no errors. However, the server only works if the ircd binary
is in /bin (outside the jail) rather than the new root bin. Which suggests
that I may be missing some files in the jail, but there are no errors

Any idea why my ircu doesn't resolve hostnames of clients and servers? All other ircds
I've run on my machine (also ircu2.10.10) resolve hostnames. I don't run any bind.

I need one more thing then. Lets say we have a hypothetical situation of nine people
in the
channel. Three have ops, three have voice, and three have no status:
A Opped
B Opped
C Opped
B Voiced
BAAAB Voiced
BAAAC Voiced
C Nothing
CAAAB Nothing
CAAAC Nothing
How would thi
The ':o' modifier is just a flag, to save space/bandwidth it only
indicates a change of state. So, if you see a ':o', or ':v' or ':ov'
appended to a numeric, the subsequent numerics will also have that state
(op'd, etc) applied to them. That is until you encounter another change of
state :)

I think I found a bug. I noticed that when two servers link up they aren't fully
reporting who is
opped in a channel. In fact, its only reporting one person opped in each channel.
Server Output:
AC B #chatweb 1016220367 +tn AEAAD:o,ACAAn,ACAAm
NAMES output:
