I disagree, README is just clutter and should be removed.
We send out announcements on the mailing list and if people miss that
they can look at the website.

I think I agree with this. I believe it is better to remove the entire
sandbox directory, so that people notice it has moved (the website says
where) and can change the SVN repository in use (that can be done; can't it?).

Hi all,
seems as if quite a few of the commons components need an update of
their web presence because their source repository link (project info
- source repository) still refers to CVS instead of SVN, for instance
digester, betwixt, bean-utils.

I call on making Stefan a commons committer (this vote is way overdue,

After long time in the sandbox I would like to promote
commons-vfs to commons proper.
There are many user requests to enter a release cycle and
there is consent that VFS is stable enough to offer it.

I have a case in my application where I want to map one key to multiple
values. However, I don't want the values to be stored as a List. I would
rather have MultiHashMap store the values in a Set of some kind (HashSet
maybe). It would be nice if I could tell MultiHashMap what kind of

Couldn't we write a generic MultiMap implementation that wraps another map
