I can't get in to CVS to see if this is fixed, but there is a bug in
AbstractMapBag in 3.1: BagIterator.remove() does not properly remove the
last instance of a given item; the result is infinite looping. Here is a
patch.

When issuing ftp.type(FTP.EBCDIC_FILE_TYPE), FTP will send TYPE B.
This is not correct according to RFC 959 where the EBCDIC type is
specified as E.
The attached patch should resolve this issue.

I've retro-fitted the VariableResolver interface into the
VariableFormatter class and provided a Map-backed VariableResolver
implementation. I did not change everything to statics.
I think (and hope) this approach provides an API to address the most
common cases (Map)
