Hi,
is anyone from commons el team listening?
If so, can you tell me about any plans for working on a unified el impl?
Or will this be on the task of the tomcat team?
Thanks so far,

+1 I support creating a functors library (but not necessarily called
collections-functors).
Rational:
I think functors are a powerful approach to software design, under
represented (in java) and non-standardised. I would like to see functors
(sandbox) integrated and have a common interface set
I wonder if components [sandbox.functors] and [commons-functors]
currently have duplicated code. If so, then I prefer to develop sandbox
functors component as standalone project. By the way, it has
collections subpackage.
Generally, [collections] should not have functional programming elements

I would be happy to join as a committer to maintain my code. Whatever would be
best.
How do we initiate a vote on accepting the new code? What's a code grant and
how do we start work on that?

+1 to the new library.
I'm wondering if we reach a point where Collections wants Primitives
and Collections-Functor as subcomponents. Tricky to handle with our
current setup, but maybe an idea for the future.
