I recently tried to reinstall Debian with a FAT partition. I got errors
indicating Debian (kernel?) couldn't be installed that way. (This didn't
happen when I had originally installed some time ago.) Anyway, I tried
again with ext2 on both partitions and got the recursive white-screen and
reboot.

Hello,
Here's info on an update to "auxlaunch", (finger-friendly
app launcher and window switcher). Download at [1] and
wiki page at [2]. Version 0.6 changes include:
- New '-noaux' option as alternative to claiming the
AUX button.
- At startup, if another auxlaunch instance is running,
signal it
IMHO having to dig out a stylus (pen) or use my fingernail is not nearly as
convenient or enjoyable as a finger-friendly interface. I don't min hi res
or low res - or big or small screen size - as long as the interface is
finger-friendly. The cell phone is our most "intimate" personal device.

As a user that switches between Debian, Qtopia, and om2008, I urge you to
focus on improving areas that could benefit all "distributions". I don't
understand the technical dependencies, but I get the impression that Lorn
and the Debian folks rely on some form of Openmoko development. Just as an

Hi,
I wanted a simple, very finger-friendly app launcher for my Freerunner
running Debian. I also wanted to access it using the "Aux" button. So, I
mixed code from the PyGTK hello world example with code from
matchbox-keyboard-toggle and came up with "Auxlaunch". A screenshot and
download link is
Hi, I'm using Qtopia on my new Freerunner and enjoying the software
and the hardware. Please excuse the noob questions below. They're
sincere and aren't meant to incite debate. My apologies if these have
been answered already.
