A good resource is Jutta Mason's 'Cooking With Fire in Public Spaces.'
You can find several excerpts from this book on Project for Public
Spaces' Urban Parks website, as well as some case studies on the outdoor
oven at Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto. (I believe Jutta Mason is with
Lisa, there's an outdoor oven project detailed in a Sunset magazine from
1998. I couldn't convince my wife that it should go in our tiny back yard
but I've long admired it. Here's the url:
