have to start deciding between golf courses, ball fields and eating

I can attest that it would be almost essential to have an 8' high fence but
not for deer but to reduce vandalism. Eight-foot high chain link fence -
maybe $4K or so? Water hookup cost would depend on situation and urban

Firstly I want to say that I too miss Adam Hongiman, very much. He provided
very valuable support and encouragement to struggling community gardens and
gardeners in North America. He was in New York and here I am in the center of
the continent in Winnipeg. Yet we got to know each other through
