What System version were you using? It has happened the same to me using a clean System 7 boot disk, so I think Sim020 is compatible only with System 6. Yeah, it's Virtual... but on my Classic... under 6.0.8 it doesn't show up in the Control Panel, and in 7.5NE, it says "This control panel cannot be used on this Macintosh" or something like that... *sigh*... I look elsewhere. I strongly suggest everybody running System 6 (or just simply running

Simple... use FreePPP... that's all I ever knew existed for Mac... either that or your modem doesn't like your Classic... the port only goes to 19.6kbps or something like that, I heard. So don't go using a 56k modem heh And if you want some extra RAM (2 sticks of 1mb) to add to your Classic

Hi, Randal. I don't know why you are getting an "out of memory" error, but I have a few ideas that may be of use. Even with MultiFinder activated (and a good amount of disk cache!), my Classic's System+Finder doesn't take much more than 600 Kb of RAM. This leaves me with about 3.4 Mb of free memor
