Most of 'em don't have a degauss switch. The 13" RGB does and is
well-marked, so I never really saw any

I had a similar thing happen once. It turned out that the 12 inch
subwoofer speaker (and its hefty magnet) above the monitor caused the
problem. The distortion remained when the speaker was gone.
