It happens to me neither on AC power or not, neither Spin down hard
disks when possible checked or not. Just still happened with any
combinations of this. I use Linux Mint 11. It is based on Ubuntu 11.04
with minor modifications.

Compiz effects) window management becomes very jerky and unusable. I
tried to play with VSYNC options, even tested all available Nvidia
drivers and no luck. AMD Phenom II 965, GTX560Ti.

After researching this I disovered the enabling the Copy to texture should
work around the 2048 pixel limit for compiz.
It would be good if this was enabled by default. However, after installing
CompizConfig Settings Manager and enabling the copytex plugin a different
behaviour is observed: the

1) If links are working, they will keep working at least until you
unfocus the window.
2) If links are not working, they will keep not working until you
unfocus the window and focus it again. This unfocus and focus solution

About 5 minutes after posting this I found a kind of workaround that
seems to improve things a lot:
in ccsm (compizconfig-settings-manager)
in the composite plugin, deactivate auto detection and set the refresh to
something like 60.

ServerAlex release the patch 29th of April. Today it's 3rd of June and
bug is still not fixed in git. Why not? It's really so hard to fix this
bug, when the patch is out for about a mounth? :)

menu bar disappears after enabling wobbly
Brandon, the patch will come into natty. It was included in the 2.6.38.8
stable release, and natty will pull it in from there. It's too late to
get it into the next proposed kernel, but I'll post here once the fix
does get to proposed (should be 3 weeks from now).

Same with Oracle Sql Developer and Netbeans. Window decorator crashes when
