Both of those are indicating unspecified hardware failures. At this
point, reinstalling the OS is really a last ditch effort; not
particularly likely to solve the problem.
First I'd have the owner reinstall their drivers from the drivers
disk. That includes several like audio, LAN, motherboard,

I got mine on time, and bought two V7 22 lcd monitors for $185 each.
On Sunday, I went to the local Staples to buy a pair of the Kbyte 1gb pc2 DDR
chips for around $100 total. ther were none on the shelf. I asked the asst
manager, he went into the locked back room, and came out with a pair.
On the 7F STOP ERROR, there was no script after the stop error code.
On the 8E STOP ERROR, it was followed by:

ar5211.sys shows to be a wireless NIC driver. I would start by updating the
card with the latest drivers from the mfr. and/or uninstalling and
reinstalling the card with the latest drivers.

i found the instructions for Netscape which should be similar at
http://www.rcn.com/customer/internet2/configure_email.php#6. My
guess is it step 5 that is giving you trouble. It was my headache in
setting up gmail as imap in thunderbird.

I know more about TV's than monitors but I'm assuming this is a CRT and
if so, maybe your green gun is going bad or has died all together,
leaving only the blue and red guns. But that's just my guess.
