Both of those are indicating unspecified hardware failures. At this point, reinstalling the OS is really a last ditch effort; not particularly likely to solve the problem. First I'd have the owner reinstall their drivers from the drivers disk. That includes several like audio, LAN, motherboard,

I got mine on time, and bought two V7 22 lcd monitors for $185 each. On Sunday, I went to the local Staples to buy a pair of the Kbyte 1gb pc2 DDR chips for around $100 total. ther were none on the shelf. I asked the asst manager, he went into the locked back room, and came out with a pair.

On the 7F STOP ERROR, there was no script after the stop error code. On the 8E STOP ERROR, it was followed by: ... ar5211.sys-address F72BE067 base at F7299000, Datestamp 3F8Fd26F Does this help in narrowing it down? Thanks for all the research and pointing me in the right direction. Richard

back to where I was yesterday morning. cannot receive or send mail using TB. (can do so using RCN webmail). Windows XP SE TB 2.0.0.9 just changed my settings to: inbound: pop.rcn.com sending: smtp.rcn.com didn't help the situation. any ideas??

i found the instructions for Netscape which should be similar at http://www.rcn.com/customer/internet2/configure_email.php#6. My guess is it step 5 that is giving you trouble. It was my headache in setting up gmail as imap in thunderbird. JDY How to create a new E-mail account in Netscape 6.x

most are now compatible with all others. ear comfort and being able to hear the thing are the two most important features. most devices lay over the ear, including the very popular motorolas. I cannot hear them. I have a plantronics that has the speaker that sticks into the ear.

Check your monitor cable at both the monitor and your video card. I've had what I thought was a CRT with a bad gun, turned out to be a loose cable. Plugged her in, the colors went back to normal again. If the cable is still tight Richard is probably right -- time for a new monitor. -Mike
